Oh dear, we’re late! When you need an appetizer to make it to the party on time, our 20-minute Crab & Artichoke Dill Spread will save the day. Cream cheese and mayonnaise make this spread superbly smooth, pairing perfectly with succulent chunks of crab and tender artichokes. A touch of sautéed shallots, squeezed lemon juice and a garnish of fresh dill add savory, zesty notes. Serve with crackers, chips or toast for a delightfully crunchy finish.

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 4 tsp minced shallots
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped dill
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup drained and chopped canned artichokes
  • 1/2 cup Aqua Star Crab Meat, drained

To make


Heat a small sauté pan over medium heat and add the oil to heat. Add shallots and sauté about 2 minutes. Let cool. In a small food processor, mix the cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth. Transfer to a medium-size bowl. Add dill and lemon juice, mix well. Add artichokes, crabmeat and cooled shallots. Mix until well blended.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with pita chips, tortilla chips, or spread on toast.
