The traditional shrimp cocktail gets a fresh twist with our Shrimp & Herb Cocktail recipe. Chopped parsley, sweet shallots, green onions, spicy garlic, zesty lemon juice, salty anchovy paste, and tangy capers are pureed with olive oil, salt and pepper. With its vibrant green color, this sauce makes for an artistic presentation alongside a plate of red shrimp. For a festive addition to any party, this elegant appetizer will not disappoint.

  • 1 lb. Aqua Star Cooked and Peeled Shrimp, thawed
  • ¾ cup chopped parsley
  • ¼ diced shallot
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic,
  • ½ tsp anchovy paste
  • 2 Tbsp. capers
  • 6 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Black pepper- to taste

To make


In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients except shrimp Blend until sauce is light green in color and smooth Transfer finished sauce into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap Refrigerate mixture for a minimum of 15 minutes before serving. May be kept in refrigerator for up to 3 days. Serve with defrosted Aqua Star Cooked Shrimp.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with tail on shrimp for a unique twist on a traditional shrimp cocktail.
